No, we only make nylon blades for cutting grass and thick weeds and metal blades with a nylon over coat for cutting brush.
This is due to a misuse of the product as the operator is forcing the blades into the cut vs. allowing the head and blades to do the cutting for them.
Trimmer Line
Generally speaking, most corded trimmers accept.065″ and.080″ diameter line, cordless accept.065″ to.080″ line, and gas.080″ –.095″. Some select cordless trimmers accept.095″ line.
All of our bump feed trimmer heads accept.080″ –.105″ diameter line. Please check online or the operator’s manual for any bump feed trimmer head that is not branded Rino-Tuff, Shakespeare or Weed Warrior.
This could because you stored your line in direct sunlight. You may soak the line in water overnight. Soaking it in water will help bring back the elasticity in the line. If that’s not the case, please call our Customer Support Team at 1-866-212-7466.
Replacement Spools
- Remove the cover/cap by pressing snap buttons and pulling off the cover/cap.
- Remove the empty spool from housing and remember the orientation of the spool to install it correctly once you’ve filled it with trimmer line.
- Look for an arrow on one of the spool flanges. This is the correct direction the line is to be wound onto the spool.
- Look for a hole or slot to hold the line close to the hub/inside of the spool.
- Press/lock the line into the hole or slot. Then, wrap the line around the spool in the direction of the arrow on the spool. Be sure not to overwind/fill the spool.
- Holding the line, place the end of the line through the eyelet(s) in the housing.
- Secure the spool correctly into the housing. Most spools have a gear shape side that should go in first.
- Place the cover/cap back onto the housing.
- You’re ready to start trimming again.

Cutting Power
Three primary factors go into cutting power: line speed, line thickness/mass, and motor torque.
The faster the line whips around, the better the tips cut grass. Most battery-powered string trimmers are fine in this category. As long as you’re getting at least 5000 RPM, you should be in good shape. The top models are capable of hitting 6500 RPM and there is a significant difference in how fast you can complete your trimming duties at higher rotational speeds.
Shifting the FOCUS to the line thickness, the higher the line mass, the more force it’s able to cut through thicker grass with. It’s like the difference between getting hit by a 175-pound safety and a 225-pound linebacker at the same speed. mass equals more cutting power.
Most cordless string trimmers take 0.080-inch line at a minimum. We recommend 0.095-inch for the best all-around performance. If you have tougher grass or deal with overgrowth frequently, a string trimmer with 0.105-inch line lets you power through even better. Just keep in mind that line diameter has a direct effect on runtime—thicker line takes more power to run.
Finally, a motor with higher torque helps the trimmer resist slowing down as the going gets tougher. Even though trimming grass seems like a low-demand task, grass does push back against the line, causing it to bend back and eventually start to bog the motor.
