Two-stroke engines for garden equipment are cooled due to two things: forced blowing of the cylinder by the flywheel impeller and the air-fuel mixture entering the crankcase. They can occur for a number of reasons, the first of which is dry contact. As a rule, a large number of small seizures on the piston indicates that pure gasoline was used during operation, and not a fuel mixture.
