Instruction manual

  1. We warm the engine to 50-60 degrees. Warm oil has better fluidity and better drains from the engine when fully replaced. Our task is to remove to the maximum the old dirty and waste liquid that no longer has useful properties from the engine and fill in a new one. If a lot of old dirty oil is left in the crankcase, it will be swept away with the new and worsen its useful properties. Warm up the engine for 5-7 minutes before work, this wakes up enough.
  2. For convenient access to the drain plug (and in some models, the oil filter is also attached from the bottom) and the bottom of the car as a whole, you need to wake up or drive into the inspection hole (the best option). Also, in some models the “protection” of the engine crankcase can be installed.
  3. We open the air to the crankcase by unscrewing the filler cap and dipstick.
  4. Substitutes a large container (equal to the amount of oil being poured).
  5. Unscrew the drain plug with a key. Sometimes the drain plug is made like an ordinary “bolt” under the open end wrench, and sometimes you can unscrew it using four or a hexagon. Do not forget to wear protective gloves, the oil most likely wakes up warm, but care must be taken into account.
  6. We wait about 10-15 minutes until mining flows into a basin or a cut plastic canister.
  7. Optional item but very effective! Flushing the engine with a special fluid is not included in the service schedule and is not mandatory. But. Having a bit of a mess, you’ll be better at times flushing the engine from old black oil. At the same time, they rinse with the old oil filter for 5-10 minutes. You will be surprised what black oil will pour out with this liquid. Using this fluid is very simple. A detailed description should be on the label of the flushing fluid.
  8. Change the stonecrop filter. In some models, it is not the filter itself and the filter element (usually yellow) that changes. Impregnation with new filter oil before installation is a mandatory procedure. The lack of oil in the new filter before starting the engine can cause oil starvation, which in turn can cause deformation of the filter. In general, this is not a good thing. Also remember to lubricate the rubber o-ring before installation.
  9. Add new oil. After making sure that the drain plug is screwed in and a new oil filter is installed, we can start filling new oil with the help of the dipstick. The level should be between the minimum and maximum mark. Also, you need to remember that after the first start of the engine a little oil will go away and the level will drop.
  10. In the future, when the engine is running, the oil level will probably change, be careful the first few days of operation. Recheck the oil level on the dipstick after the first start.
