To prevent the spring from slipping, it must be restrained by pins that are attached to the handle, which is located between the plates. In order for the mechanism to function properly, there must be a slot in the handle in the longitudinal direction.

The carriage must move vertically and pins are mounted on it.

Side plates and handle are used here, but the springs will be in grooves that need to be refined. To do this, metal corners need to be screwed into the grooves.

The mechanism is operated by pushing the carriage handle downward to start the drilling process. Energy is stored in the carriage, the spring is compressed.
