Disassembling Chainsaws Partner 350 Videos

Today, in almost every household there is a chainsaw, which is a worthy replacement for axes and hand saws. The ideal solution for people living in a private house, or engaged in construction, would be the Partner 350 hand-held chainsaw. This tool of the Swedish manufacturer is very convenient and compact, so it is suitable for any work on a personal plot.

However, improper maintenance and intensive use of the unit can lead to its breakdown. In this case, it is not necessary to immediately contact a service workshop. Many malfunctions can be eliminated with your own hands. To do this, it is enough to study the saw device and instructions for its repair.

Design features of the Partner 350 chainsaw

The reliable and convenient saw in use of this model has a gasoline engine with 1300 W. It differs in easy start-up, which is carried out due to the built-in professional fuel pump and electronic ignition system.

The chainsaw is equipped with a protection system that automatically activates a double inertial chain brake. Chain lubrication also occurs automatically. It is very easy to change the chain tension of this unit with just two keys.

The chainsaw is equipped with a fuel primer, so it is easy to start at any time of the year. The tool starter drum is equipped with a special impeller, with which it is cleaned of contaminants.

Filter with CCS able to trap all residual particles. In addition, this system allows you to use the air filter for a long time, while saving fuel consumption.

Partner 350 chainsaw manufacturers equipped the cylinder walls of the piston group with a chrome coating, which significantly increases the tool life.

The main malfunctions of the Partner 350 chainsaw

Most often, the cause of a tool breakdown is associated with interruptions in the operation of the engine or other components and systems. To resolve any malfunctions, disassembly is required. To do everything right, you need to know the design features of the chainsaw and the main causes of its breakdown.

Checking the ignition system

First of all, if any chainsaw malfunctions, you should inspect the spark plug. To do this, first disconnect the wire, and then with the help of a special key the candle itself is turned out. In her appearance, you can understand the cause of the problem:

  1. Disassembling Chainsaws Partner 350s

    A chainsaw candle covered with soot indicates the use of low-quality oil, the wrong ratio of oil and gasoline when cooking fuel, or a poorly adjusted carburetor. In this case, the candle must be cleaned of soot with a needle or an awl, and the electrodes should be washed and rubbed with sandpaper.

  2. If the spark plug is heavily sprayed with fuel, then most likely the carburetor is incorrectly adjusted or the rules for starting the tool have been violated. To remove excess fuel, shut off the fuel supply, turn on the starter and check the combustion chamber. After that, the candle is rubbed, twisted into place, and the mechanism starts again.
  3. A completely dry candle indicates that the fuel mixture does not enter the cylinder of the chainsaw. In this case, the cause of the breakdown is not in the ignition system, so the candle is put back.

To check the performance of the spark plug, you need to put on the ignition cable, connect the cylinder and the nut of the spark plug with pliers, and start the starter. If there is no spark, then the candle must be replaced.

Chainsaw fuel system repair

Reasons why fuel-air mixture does not enter the cylinder, there may be several:

  • Clogged fuel filter;
  • Clogged holes in the cap of the fuel tank (breather);
  • Insufficient fuel;
  • Improperly adjusted carburetor;
  • Clogging of the channels or violation of the integrity of the carburetor membrane.

To diagnose a filter or breather clogging, you just need to disconnect the hose and see how the fuel flows. The tank stream should pour out good pressure. If it is intermittent and weak, then the filter must be pulled out through the neck of the tank and rinsed or replaced, and the breather should be cleaned with a needle.

Chainsaw carburetor is a fairly complex device, equipped with many small parts. Therefore, it is better to entrust disassembly and repair to specialists.

If the carburetor filter is simply clogged, then it can be carefully removed, shaken, washed with detergents and put in place.

With your own hands, the carburetor can only be adjusted. This is done with three screws strictly according to the instructions.

Muffler cleaning

In some cases the engine starts to stall and smoke at high speeds. At the same time, it works fine at low speeds. Most likely the reason is that the muffler is clogged with combustion products.

To eliminate this malfunction, the muffler is removed, disassembled and, using detergents, is cleaned of carbon deposits. After that, it must be dried with a hairdryer and put in place.

While the muffler is removed, the outlet of the saw must be covered with a clean rag.

Repair of the cylinder-piston group

In this group, problems are quite rare. If any element breaks, it is most often replaced with a new one.

The main malfunctions of the cylinder-piston group:

  1. Engine power may be lost due to low (about 5 atm) pressure in the cylinder. To measure it, you need a special pressure gauge called a kopressometer. Normal cylinder working pressure is 8-9 atmospheres.
  2. If hot gases are emitted into the crankcase, the piston rings will most likely sink.
  3. Loss of pressure and the release of gases through the slots may indicate the destruction of the gaskets of the cylinder head. They must be replaced.

To fully assess the state of all elements of this group can only be visually through the hole from the removed muffler. If this is possible, then the cylinder head or the entire cylinder is removed.

If the cause of the breakdown of the chainsaw is insignificant, it does not matter. The tool was made by Russian or Chinese manufacturers. Dismantling and repair of the unit can be done quite easily with your own hands, having previously studied its design and troubleshooting instructions.
