It comes in both corded and cordless version that allows flexibility for the users. It is a 10inch table saw works on 36V MultiVolt battery or 120V AC input. There are also other brands in the market like Milwaukee, which also make cordless table saws. Most of the other brands have less ripping capacity, but this model takes the ripping capacity to the new level.

This is not a very compact table saw, but still, it is very suitable for job site application. Its dimensions are 28-3/4inches x 22inches, and its rip capacity is around 35inches. It is when you are using the extension, without, it is 22inches on the left. It has 10inches blade as well that can cut from 0degree to 45degrees ranging the cut from 3-1/8inches to 2-1/4inches. It is also dado capable, which takes its capacity to the next level.

Build Quality: The product has amazing build quality. It has cast aluminum top with 22- x 28-3/4-in area. It has built-in outfeed support which is added behind the saw. It can make rip cuts up to 35inches and 22inches on the left. It has soft start function which gives recoil at startup and reduces the noise. It also has the electric brakes which stop the blade in seconds and very useful during an emergency. It can cut thick material up to 3-1/8-in at 0degree and 2-1/4-in at 45degree. Bevel Scale and height adjustment knobs are there at the front of the cabinet which you can easily access.

Safety: It also has all the safety features that you need in a machine. It has an overload protection system which turns off the machine automatically in case of an emergency. It has a riving knife which reduces the binding of wood after the cut. It has an emergency power switch as well that you can easily control with your knee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BSW9 from My new favorite tool. 2 years ago I decided I wasn’t buying another tool that wasn’t cordless/battery operated and eventually had to pull the trigger on the ONLY 10″ cordless table saw on the market. I do home renovation, hobby woodworking, and a little bit of cabinetry. For years I got by with a circular saw and half a dozen straight edge guides but this has been a wonderful investment. Available power options are the 2ah, the 4ah, and the adapter cord. I’ve used all three and haven’t noticed any difference in performance whatsoever, however the 2ah drains quite quickly. The ability to run a dado set was huge for me. Very happy with my purchase and Metabo in general.

I was previously using a Bosch 10″ table saw but of course I was restricted by the power cord. This Hitachi 10″ table saw was easy to set up and I was ripping 23/32 structural panels in about 10 minutes. The battery takes just under one hour to fully charge and lasted longer than I needed to finish all my cuts so I cant say how long it’ll run before the battery needs to be recharged. I don’t have the A/C adapter (yet) but the saw has at least as much power as the corded saw I was previously using.

No one has a dado throat plate so you have to make your own, and it’s not easy. I had a couple batteries and the plug in. This thing is awesome on battery power. However. There is no lock for blade height and it does move with vibration. The riving knife can’t be removed and is horrible to adjust or cut into a throat plate. I’m going to take my free angle grinder to it. It’s a very well made saw. dust collection isn’t bad. The fence was off a little but very easy to adjust. I just with blade changes and riving knife were easier.

The reason for a 4 star is the manual didn’t have detailed information about adjusting the fence and tech support had no idea and told me to ship it back. Thankfully a little investigation i found two set screws to adjust. The latches to remove the fence and finicky plastic i easily see careless employees breaking. other complaint is this saw is identical as the 120v job site saw that comes with a stand, this doesn’t and it appears to not be available at all to purchase separately. Other than that i can’t complain much about it.

It had worked well for a number of years. The fence on the brand new one would not lock tightly. When pulling up on the lever it snapped OFF! IT’S SITTING GATHERING DUST ! The nearest repair facility is about ninety miles away. The manual that comes with the saw does not go into the fence tightening instruction. Lot5 of money to sit there collecting dust It can be noted that I own a number of Hitachi Tools That I have purchased over the last 36 years. This is the first that has broken down and disappointed me.

I can give quality cuts while making 34.5″ cabinet returns or side panels with speed and accuracy. The battery life and power are unbelievable! Gives me incredible freedom of finding power outlets and running long extension cords outside. The adjustables on fence and blade are effortless and extremely accurate. All finish carpenter’s need not want this Metabo battery powered tool for customer satisfaction. 35″ fence is a game changer for cabinet installation well done Metabo.

The battery power is more than enough to rip long work pieces, including Douglas Fir. Square adjustments are straightforward and easy, using a hex wrench and a square from your workshop or garage. I’ve never used the 120 volt adapter but it is nice to know that it’s available, should I run out of battery power. The stand that can be purchased with the saw is durable and makes for an easy setup, very solid wheels for transport. In addition to the fence, I use a miter gauge with an aluminum fence for cross cuts, which is bought separately. A great saw.

The saw cannot handle multiple cuts of 3/4″ maple without tripping. The adapter has a loud and annoying internal cooling operation which kicks on at random even though the saw is not being used. Because of this I cannot use an automatic vacuum switch in conjunction with the saw. Is there a way to rewire the saw without the ac adapter?
