The EDGIT PRO™ is a trimming edging guide for straight shaft trimmers. It indicates where the trimmer’s string is cutting and holds the trimmer’s spinning string in the groove. The EDGIT PRO™’ s 14” disk rolls down the edge like a measuring wheel guiding the string as it cuts a half-inch wide groove. The EDGIT PRO™ allows a trimmer operator to produce perfect vertical edges on mulch beds, curbs and sidewalks. as fast as he can walk. It stays on the trimmer all the time.

If you use your trimmers to edge you know how difficult it is to get operators to produce straight, vertical edges at any reasonable rate. The EDGIT PRO™ solves this problem. Now anyone can produce perfect vertical edges with their trimmers as fast they can walk.

When used for trimming it stands the grass up as it’s being cut while at the same time helping the operator hold the trimmer level. This allows operators to mow with their trimmers. It prevents string breakage against chain link fences and is great for cutting under the fence. The EDGIT PRO™ make your string cut through weeds like a blade while preventing debris from wrapping around the head. The EDGIT PRO™ is also a superior debris shield for the operator and reduces the chances of broken Windows.

Blade edgers require you to cover the property twice, once to trim, then to edge. This is called backtracking. The EDGIT PRO™ allows operators to trim and edge as one process thus covering the property only once. Your edges will be more distinctive and last longer between mowings.

While trimming, the cutting is taking place below the EDGIT PRO™ ‘s disk. This reduces the debris thrown at the operator’s face while also reducing broken Windows and other collateral property damage. During the edging process, the EDGIT PRO™ also acts as a barrier between the operator and the debris production.

Try training operators to use trimmers left-handed as illustrated. Notice that his arms are straight down in front of him and he’s walking straight ahead. This is, by far, a more productive, as well as safer method of using a trimmer.

Edgers

If for any reason you change your mind on an order you just placed on our website or over the phone, McLane will be happy to cancel the order under the following conditions:

Free same day cancellation is available when the order is placed during our regular business hours from 7 am to 2:30 pm PST. Free same day cancellation is not available if you reach our voicemail after hours. Cancellation request must be acknowledged by a Mclane customer service representative.

Cancellations done on the next business day will have a 4% cancellation fee considering that the order has not shipped.

Cancellations after the order has shipped and in transit is not acceptable as we are unable to re-route the freight or package. Customer will be responsible to receive the order and ship back to us at their own shipping/freight expense and under our returns policy. Customer will be required to send us an email requesting an RMA through our customer service department. Returns without an RMA will be rejected and not eligible for refund. We are not responsible for returned items lost or damaged during transit.

If delivery of the order is rejected or not accepted, customer will be responsible for freight expenses both ways and there will be an additional 25% restocking fee. Charges will be deducted from the eligible refund.

• Check for wear and tear of the blade. If you need to replace it, contact your nearest dealer for a replacement part.
• Safety first. wear eye and ear protection. While our cordless garden tools are significantly quieter than their petrol equivalent, we would still recommend looking after your hearing. Safety goggles or glasses with side protection should also be worn in case of flying debris which may be uncovered during use.
• Also on safety. wear good boots, long trousers and make sure people and pets remain at a safe distance in case debris is thrown up.
• Walk your course and remove any stones or other obstacles.

Using the lawn edging tool

• Hold the edger with your right hand on the rear handle and your left hand on the front-assist handle. Keep a firm grip with both hands while operating and hold it at a comfortable position with the rear handle at about hip height.
• The EGO lawn edging attachment for the multi-tool comes with a guide line on the wheel casing to help you get a straight line, plus a removable edge plate underneath. These will help you set and stay on course.
• Push the edger forwards only, only going as fast as it needs to make a clean cut. usually, normal walking pace, but no faster. If the blade begins to bog down, you’re edging too fast. slow your pace.
• If the blade guard becomes clogged, stop the motor, remove the battery pack, and remove debris from the blade guard.
• Our cordless lawn edger tool will cut to a depth of 75mm. You can easily change the depth by loosening the depth-adjusting knob and moving the guide wheel.
• If you’re edging a lawn for the first time, the edger won’t have a problem with this bigger job, though you will have to remove the excess soil and grass by hand or with a spade afterwards.
