How to properly position the knife on a Bosch lawnmower

What kind of grass can be mowed?

Electric lawn mowers, due to their low engine power, are not suitable for mowing high and dense grass, the only exceptions are those models, the operating instructions of which specify the possibility of such an application.

In addition, any machines effectively mow only dry grass, so mowing should not be carried out if dew has fallen on the site or it has rained.

Also, do not use electric lawn mowers for mowing grass, among which shrubs grow, because their trunks and branches are much tougher and stronger, therefore, the load on the knife and the engine increases dramatically.

How do electric lawn mowers work?

The general layout of electric lawn mowers is the same.

An electric motor is installed on the wheeled chassis, directly or through a belt drive, a rotating cutting tool that cuts the grass at a certain height.

However, despite the general principle of operation, all mowers are divided into types according to:

  • type of chassis;
  • engine type;
  • type of cutting tool;
  • the way the grass is dumped or processed;
  • way of movement.

How long can you use?

The optimum operating mode for each model is described in the lawnmower’s manual.

If this document is not available for some reason, then adhere to the 15/10 rule, that is, mow the grass for 15 minutes, then wait 10 minutes for the motor to cool down.

However, this mode is optimal only for mowing lawn grass, the height of which does not exceed twice the mowing height of the lawn mower.

  • the vegetation is higher;
  • has a thick stem;
  • grows densely (field grass, including forbs),

then the operating time should be reduced by 2–3 times.

Checking its temperature after each period of operation will help to avoid overheating of the motor, for this:

  • release the engine start lever;
  • disconnect the mower plug from the extension cord;
  • with the back of your hand touch the motor.

The motor should not feel warmer than the human body, after the third or fourth period of mowing, a slight heating is permissible, the palm feels warm as at a temperature of 37-39 degrees.

If the surface of the motor is hot, lengthen the cooling time and shorten the running time, this will extend the life of the electric motor.

Electric lawn mowers: device, operation, malfunctions

An electric lawn mower is a complex tool, so it is very important to use and maintain it correctly.

Improper maintenance or use can result in not only serious damage to the mower, but also injury.

The general rules for safe use are the same for all lawn mowers, however, there are nuances that apply only to certain types of these machines.

The information that you will find in this article cannot fully replace the user’s manual for a particular model, but it will give a general idea of the correct use of electric lawn mowers, including their maintenance and repair.

Let’s give answers to the following questions:

  • what is the device of an electric lawn mower;
  • how to use it correctly: how to turn it on, how to mow the lawn;
  • how to maintain: disassemble, sharpen a knife, can it be washed with water, mow wet grass, how to store;
  • the most frequent malfunctions: does not turn on, stopped working, smoke and what could be the reasons;
  • other nuances of the operation of these devices.

How to remove and install a knife?

The blade of any electric lawn mower is a consumable item, so it must be changed or sharpened periodically.

To remove and install the knife, you need the following tools:

  • a wrench corresponding to the head of the fixing bolt (included in the delivery set);
  • a screwdriver (not always included in the delivery) or a wooden plate for fixing the knife.

Use a plank or screwdriver to secure the knife (many mower owners hold the knife with their hand, then unscrew the bolt by turning it counterclockwise.

After unscrewing the bolt, remove the old knife, then put a new one in its place in the same position so that it coincides with the latches and tighten the bolt. To tighten the bolt, fix the knife with a screwdriver or a plank (often lawn mower owners hold the knife with their hands, because it does not require much effort).

details on the removal and installation of the electric lawn mower knife are shown on this

What clothes to use

The choice of clothing affects the safety and efficiency of mowing.

A loose sleeve can catch and block the drive lever of the knife or wheels, and the likelihood of falling when working with slippery shoes is very high.

Therefore, to work with a lawn mower you need:

properly, position, knife, bosch, lawnmower
  • shirt with long buttoned sleeves;
  • long pants made of thick fabric;
  • shoes covering the leg with a durable grooved sole;
  • safety glasses or mask;
  • hat or cap (on a hot sunny day).

Way to travel

All electric lawn mowers, regardless of the type of cutting mechanism, are divided into self-propelled and non-self-propelled. The first are equipped with a clutch and belt drive, as well as a gearbox, which reduce the engine speed to an optimal level for the wheels.

The vast majority of these models are equipped with a belt-driven clutch. the release roller presses on the belt, tightening it and providing more traction with the drive pulley.

Non-self-propelled models are equipped with wheels both on a common axle and rotating separately.

How to sharpen a knife in a lawn mower

First of all, we will tell you how to sharpen knives on lawn mowers. Let’s say right away that the principle is the same on gasoline and electric devices. First, turn off the power to the mower. Then we put the device on the brake. The protective cover is removed. After turning the mower on its side, wear rubber gloves or other gloves to avoid injury. Use a brush to remove dirt and grass from visible parts. Then we remove the knife and fix it in a vice. Now you can start sharpening the knife with a file. If the knife is bent during operation, then it is necessary to align it. To do this, put the product on a flat surface and level it with a hammer.

Watch a helpful video on sharpening lawn mower knives

Once all the work is done, you can put it in place. Most often, knives begin to sharpen in the spring, when there will be the first mowing. You don’t have to sharpen the knife during the season.

According to the words, everything is so simple, but when a person who does not understand anything in this matter is taken to work, many difficulties immediately appear. It is best not to do the work yourself. Entrust it to specialists. Improper sharpening will result in the knife being thrown away. In order to remove the knife from the mower, you must use a socket or box wrench. It is not necessary to retighten the bolt too much, since you will have to unscrew it again later. Not only that, the force will cause the thread to be ripped off.

How to care for your lawn mower

The inside of the mower cover must be cleaned after each mow. The grass that collects on the device can not only interfere with further work, but also cause a fire. Do not use chemicals to clean the mower. This may damage some parts. If you wash some parts with water, then you need to wipe everything dry very well afterwards. As soon as a little paint lags behind the metal, corrosion will immediately begin.

There are such modern models that have a fitting available. A hose is connected through it. The water turns on, the mower starts up. While the knife is rotating, it is washed.

All lawn mowers have air-cooled engines. To keep the engine from overheating, you need to constantly clean its fins on the radiator. In order to clean the motor, it is sometimes necessary to dismantle some parts. A great way to clean your engine is to use a compressor that supplies compressed air.

Fuel quality affects engine performance and performance. After the last use, you need to drain the gasoline from the gas tank. Best of all, when it is all worked out. So, it is necessary to crank the starter so that all the valves close. So we leave the technique until next season.

Sometimes the engine oil and spark plugs are changed on lawn mowers. The oil is changed when the manufacturer requires it. Only special oils are used in terms of viscosity and grade. There are engines where the lower compartment opens to drain the oil, and it also happens that you need to turn the mower on its side.

It is better to drain the oil immediately after work. Then precipitation will not have time to form in the crankcase, and the viscosity of the hot oil is much lower.

If the candles are corroded or burnt out, then you need to replace them. You can simply clean the candles, but it is better if a new one is installed. The air and fuel filters also need to be cleaned and in some cases replaced.

Operating rules for gasoline and electric lawn mowers

The operating rules for gasoline and electric lawn mowers are approximately the same. You always need to follow the rules that are clearly spelled out in the instructions from the manufacturer. It is important to pay attention to the moment when you need to take a break from the device. For example, if the engine overheats on a gasoline lawn mower, this will lead to its failure.

After each working process, it is necessary to remove the remnants of grass from the knife and other equipment parts. The mower should be stored in a dry place where it will not be threatened by precipitation. As soon as work with garden equipment ends, it must be turned off so that there is no threat to the health and life of your loved ones. When the device is running, it is impossible to inspect the equipment. If you find any problems, then you need to contact the service center, where you will be provided with qualified assistance. A problem that is identified in time will allow you to avoid expensive repairs in the future.

If a very large and thick grass has grown on your site, then you cannot mow it at a time. You need to walk the lawn mower several times. The grass must be removed gradually so that the mower does not overload.

In order for the knife not to dull when hitting the ground, you need to avoid unevenness in the area. In order for the lawn to be cut beautifully and correctly, you need to carry the device only forward. To prevent the lawnmower from harming you, you must wear protective clothing and shoes. The mower is not used where there are stones, curbs, debris. All this can lead to damage to a working lawn mower.

Now is the time to talk about how to use the lawn mower correctly, as well as how to properly repair and service it.

Dacha with their own hands

Dacha, which is associated with the dacha and country houses. Suburban construction site.

Good care of your lawn mower is the key to its long-term use

It should be noted that the lawn mower is a versatile and one of the most convenient machines that is used for gardening purposes. Thanks to the use of a lawn mower on the site, you can create an unusual landscape design. A lawnmower can be called a highly specialized unit, as it can only mow the lawn. Nevertheless, it is the lawn mower that becomes the best assistant for summer residents, owners of suburban areas. In municipal services, lawn mowers are required. With their help, parks, squares are always maintained in proper form.

When buying a lawn mower, special interest and attention are always shown to it. Remember not to overload the mower. The machine needs care, cleaning with your own hands. However, over time, the lawn mower still becomes a common tool for work, which is paid little attention.

Petrol or electric lawn mowers, the choice is yours

There are two types of lawn mowers on sale today. These are electric lawn mowers and gasoline ones. If you need to mow the grass far from home, then it is best to use gasoline technology. The advantage is that the petrol lawnmower is not dependent on electricity. The engine is absolutely unaffected by long-term operation of the lawn mower.

The mowing speed of a petrol lawn mower is much faster than an electric one.
Before starting your petrol lawnmower, you need to make sure that there is fuel in the tank, and most importantly, there is engine oil. If there is no oil, the engine will jam. In this case, you will have to spend a lot of money on repairs.

Electric lawn mowers are considered more economical and quieter. However, there is a clear disadvantage to electric lawn mowers. this is the lack of mobility. And it is limited by the length of the power cord. You need to constantly be near the outlet. over, during operation, the wire is often confused, it has to be corrected.

Before turning on the electric lawnmower, you need to check whether the power cable and the socket itself is intact. Under no circumstances should the electric lawnmower be used during rain or dew. This technique can only be used on dry grass.

Storing the mower

The lawn mower should be stored in a closed and dry area. Moisture, snow. all this is unacceptable for technology. Make sure that no children or animals are approaching the mower. Only a dry and clean lawn mower is sent for storage.

Before mowing the grass, you need to check that there are no bricks, metal or glass on it. Otherwise, the knife may break and the engine will jam. Replacing the knife is not a problem, but replacing the motor is not a cheap pleasure.

It is best to operate the mower when the grass is dry and it should not rain outside. If the mower is powered, you can get an electric shock. If a gasoline lawn mower, then if water gets on the filter, the device will fail.

How to sharpen a lawn mower knife?

How to sharpen a lawn mower knife yourself? Sharpening of knives for lawn mowers is quite within the power of most owners of these devices necessary in a summer cottage.

  • Gloves
  • 19mm open-end or socket wrench
  • Coarse and small files
  • Brush

Lay down or (if large) gently tilt the mower on its side. Put on gloves, grab a brush, and gently clean the area around the knife to remove clippings and debris. If the knife is dull, it must be removed. Unscrew the bolt that secures the knife with a socket or open-end wrench. The bolt is located in the middle of the knife. The knife is a metal bar about 50cm long and about 2.5mm thick.

How to sharpen a lawn mower knife? It would be nice to clamp it in a vice and file it. In reality, often only an abrasive wheel or a bar for sharpening knives is at hand. Note that the cutting surface of the knife is hardened, so your impact should be minimal. It is necessary to process with a bar or a small file only the really damaged edge of the surface. If the knife is bent, place it on a massive, obviously flat surface (a piece of railroad track, for example) and straighten it with a hammer. Remove large burrs with a file, then work the blunt fragments with a bar starting from the center of the knife and moving towards the edge. The movement of the bar should be “away from you”. Have you ever seen how a scythe is sharpened? This is approximately how you should act.

When finished, put the knife back in place and tighten with the bolt. Excessive efforts at the same time to nothing, subsequently you will have to unscrew it more than once. Lawn mower knives are usually sharpened in early spring before the first mowing. In the future, if you are cutting grass on an area of about 2-3 acres (200-300 sq. M.) During the season, you do not need to perform any actions with the knife.

You can also use the currently widely used electric grinders, but be careful when using them! With the help of such a machine, you can very easily grind off too much metal and thereby spoil the knife irrevocably. Practice first with kitchen knives, old scissors, or steel strips to get a feel for the force that needs to be applied to the part while sharpening. A knife that is heated during sharpening must be periodically lowered into water, this will harden it a little, in addition, a wet grinding wheel removes excess heat, preventing the workpiece from being overheated.

How a Bosch food processor works video

Today the company “Bosch” occupies one of the leading places in the production of kitchen electrical appliances. It was created in 1886 ode. Initially, the company focused on the manufacture of refrigerators. Then the first models of gas ovens appeared. Since 1989, branches of this company have opened in almost all countries.

Consumer reviews about Bosch M 54240

This model was appreciated by baking lovers. The harvester has a hook for dough. In general, the attachments are quite easy to change. The cover can be removed quickly and without any effort. Additionally, many noted a convenient grater. The shredding disc is double-sided.

The total volume of the bowl is 3.9 liters, and it is made entirely of metal. Of the functional features, the pulse mode can be noted. The speed in the harvester can be increased smoothly, which users like. Among other things, mention should be made of a convenient case in which you can store all the attachments. Also included is a meat tray. The cost of this model is around 18,000 rubles.

Combine “Bosch М 4855

The “Bosch M 4855″ food processor is not suitable for meat. The rated power of the device is only 600 watts. There are 4 speeds in this model. There are nozzles with a whisk, a hook and a mixer. Unfortunately, there is no fine grater. Of the advantages, an acceptable volume of the bowl can be distinguished. In general, the model turned out to be compact.

There is a stand for accessories in the standard set. Also, manufacturers apply well-known recipes to the combine. The model makes a lot of noise during operation, but you can get used to it. The suction cups at the bottom of the device are made of rubber. Thanks to this, the stability of the combine during operation is ensured. In general, the model turned out to be quite simple and cheap. It will cost the buyer about 11,000 rubles.

What’s in the box: what’s included in the food processor

Despite the fact that the most important part of the food processor is the attachments, because the result depends on them, other parts form the basis of the device. First of all, it is a motor that ensures the operation of the machine, secondly, the container for slicing plays its role. Let’s start with a simpler one. the container or bowl of the food processor can be made of glass, plastic or metal. It is best when you have the opportunity to visually follow the cooking through transparent walls, which is why modern high-strength plastic and glass are favorites.

The bowl of the combine must be strong, as it often falls to the floor. In addition, it constantly has to be washed, and in this sense, plastic options are convenient.

Metal wins when it comes to meat. Quality bowls can be used as utensils for storing food, but it is not advisable to put them in the freezer anyway. A big plus for the bowl will be if it can be put in the microwave, as for convenience, it is better to give preference to bowls on which you can fix the handles. The last thing worth remembering is the volume of the bowl. here it is already difficult to advise something universal, since the volumes of cooking can be very different. That is why it is better to have two or three bowls of different sizes.

As for the motor, you don’t need to know how it works, it’s better to just dwell on the fact that this device allows you to be a food processor and a grinder, and a juicer and blender. You just need to turn on the equipment and the motor will do its job, the main thing is that it is powerful and reliable enough. For a small combine, a power of 300 W is sufficient, for a medium one, a motor with 400 W is sufficient. Only if you want to crumble a salad for a large family in a giant five-liter bowl, do you need a combine with a power of 1000W or even more.

Minced Meat Cooking Tips

At the combine, you can switch the shaft rotation speed to achieve the best final result:

  • If it is necessary to cook minced meat from poultry, then set the lowest power mode so that the juice does not leak out during the process.
  • For beef, select medium revolutions, this will provide the minced meat with the best grinding of the pieces.
  • And for pork and lamb, the most powerful mode should be set so that all tendons and films can be thoroughly ground.
  • For fish farming in many combines, the pulse mode is set, which provides the desired mode of operation in each specific case.

And here you can use a round knife with large or small holes for different types of minced meat. For primary scrolling, a knife with large slots is used, for secondary processing, a cutting tool with a smaller diameter is used.
  • With the help of push-button or touch-type control, the required rotation mode and power is set, based on the type of processing.
  • The package includes all kinds of bowls of different parameters for the convenience of collecting raw materials for further cooking.
  • In addition to the main part. a grinder, the delivery set includes a wide variety of attachments for grinding, whipping or squeezing juice.

By changing the nozzles, the hostess will always be able to make various blanks for frying, stewing or getting natural puree and juice faster and with better quality.

But what a diced food processor looks like and how to choose the right equipment for your kitchen, the information on the link will help you understand.

The video shows a detailed indication of the work of the combine:

Food processor: functions, types and features

A truly versatile machine that can do almost everything in the kitchen, ready to handle a variety of your errands. All you need to do is change the harvester attachments, thanks to which the device can whip, mix, clean, cut, squeeze, crush, twist or plan.

If you use the combine correctly, then its functions will allow you to:

  • Knead the dough;
  • Chop vegetables, loaf or other foods;
  • Make minced meat or fish;
  • Whisk the sauce, cream or egg whites;
  • Mix milk or fruit shake;
  • Grind coffee;
  • Get freshly squeezed juice;
  • Grind nuts, etc.

It is thanks to the presence of a food processor that the speed of preparation of even the most complex dishes in the kitchen increases, the work is simplified, and truly new opportunities open up for you. For example, you can make mayonnaise, sauce at home using only homemade products or proven ingredients.

In general, the functions of food processors depend directly on the presence of certain attachments. When buying equipment, it is better to choose the most versatile device, taking into account the advice of experts, so that in the end you can use the most modern developments in the field of cooking. A typical food processor usually includes only a few attachments, but universal models either have many available attachments in the kit, or allow you to buy something new for unexpected functions.

These can be the following types of attachments:

  • Chopping knife. Using this attachment is very convenient and simple. The lower the rotation speed and the shorter the chopping time, the larger the pieces of food will be. For example, this way you can get great ingredients for a salad. But if you want to get small pieces or even grind everything into porridge, then set the highest speed. You can get quality minced meat or pate.
  • Circular knife. This attachment is useful if you want to cut food into even slices, for example, chop cabbage into borscht.
  • French fries knife. The purpose of the nozzle is clear also from its name.
  • Dough nozzle.
  • Knife for chopping nuts and other hard foods such as chocolate.
  • Dicing knife. It has a round, disc shape and is indispensable for preparing salads.
  • Mixer. The nozzle will allow you to whip up liquid.

The list can be continued almost endlessly, however, we have listed all the main attachments that allow you to cook the most interesting and desirable dishes in the kitchen.

Sharpening the blades

The purpose of sharpening itself is to eliminate small edge chips and bring the descent into one straight plane. The presence of a “file” on the blade leads to a rapid decrease in sharpness, and with a rounded descent, too strong an effect on the cut stems is exerted. In addition, the rounded blade becomes dirty much faster.

Sharpening the blade is best done with a flat emery bar with a grain size of about 400-600 grit, there is no particular point in using more “delicate” stones. Soak the block in lathered water for 10-15 minutes and wet it periodically while turning. The knife is also sharpened on the grain with a small broach of the bar from the center of the sharpened area to the edge.

When sharpening, try to keep the same position of the stone to maintain a constant angle. As with pulling out slopes, sharpening should be carried out with the condition that the same amount of metal is removed on opposite blades. This condition, however, does not have to be strictly observed when sharpening four-bladed knives.

Taking out descents

If the knife has not been sharpened for a long time, chipped chips are likely to appear on it. You need to get rid of them by bringing out the edge of the blade at a uniform angle along the entire length of the cutting section. Please note that there may be several edges on each side, in which case the lawnmower will have several cutting planes.

Lawn mower blades are sharpened on one side, the slope of which, as a rule, is directed upwards. To bring the descent at the desired angle, you should use an electric sharpener with a carborundum stone, and in the absence of one, a fine file. It is very important to remove metal evenly from both blades. Therefore, keep the same pressure and at least approximately count the number of passes of the sharpener.

Small deviations of the sharpening angle are not critical, however, the smoother the slopes are brought out, the longer the knife resource will be. When shaping the blade, it always moves onto the grain to avoid the formation of large burrs and flakes. Do not use an angle grinder for preliminary sharpening. overheating can degrade the quality of the metal. However, it is possible to attach a flap disc or a sanding pad to an angle grinder.

Editing edges

When the blades are sharpened, they need to be straightened. This is done using a piece of moisture-resistant sandpaper with a grain size of about 600-800 grit. The paper should be moistened with water and rolled into a cylinder with a diameter of 100-150 mm.

Editing aims to remove the slightest burrs and flakes that can wrap around the thinnest edge of the blade. The sandpaper rolled into a cylinder should be lightly pressed against the descent plane and pulled out with a smooth movement from the grain. In this case, it is also recommended to make a smooth offset from the center to the edges.

When removing the triggers and sharpening, all manipulations were carried out with only one side of the blade. During the dressing process, the knife is also processed from the back side. Here the paper is pressed almost close to the body of the knife, but with a slight tilt towards the edge. The paper clamping force during dressing is very small, but a lot of movements need to be made, trying to eliminate large scratches on the brilliant escapement that remained after sharpening.

For reference: you can also sharpen a lawn mower knife with a rivet, by analogy with a conventional manual scythe. This, however, requires a special adaptation. grandmother, as well as a specific skill. But on the other hand, with this method of sharpening, you will not need to balance the knife.

Cleaning and straightening

When the knife is removed, it must first be cleaned of adhering dirt and hardened herbal juice. The easiest way to do this is with a metal brush. The knife strip must be clean from all sides: not to a metallic sheen, but without the smallest adhering fragments.

Often, due to hard objects such as stones and chips falling into the working area, the blade deforms quite noticeably. Most blades are not straight by themselves, but the cutting edge and strip 10-15 cm away should be examined for local bumps and curvatures. This is done using a short, straight ruler.

You can straighten the blade with an ordinary hammer, with the edges of the striker slightly rounded. The knife is laid on a flat massive support (anvil), then the correct shape is given to the metal with weak blows. You need to edit the knife, starting from the edges of the curved section, gradually moving towards the center. A curved blade body is a minor issue, but it is very important that the cutting parts are straightened into one straight line. You also need to check the kickback blades, which often straighten from impact. If the blades on different arms of the knife are bent at different angles, this will impair the air flow and the cut grass will not mulch properly.

Do-it-yourself correct sharpening of a lawn mower knife

Despite the fact that the blades of the lawn mower are made of high quality steel, from time to time they have to be refreshed. Fortunately, this does not require special skills and equipment, and today we will tell you how to sharpen a lawn mower knife yourself without deteriorating the quality of the metal.

  • How to remove a knife from a lawn mower
  • Cleaning and straightening
  • Taking out descents
  • Sharpening the blades
  • Editing edges
  • Balancing check

It is possible to cut off excess grass from the lawn even if the edges of the mower blade are obviously dull. However, in this case, the shoots will delaminate in the longitudinal direction, turning into a fringe. A few days after mowing, the grass will become dry and sore for several weeks. The cut should be even and neat, then it will take just a few hours and the lawn will always be juicy green. This requires the knife to be almost perfectly sharpened.

How to remove a knife from a lawn mower

Before proceeding with the partial disassembly of the lawn mower, you need to protect yourself and her. While an electrically powered device can be easily disconnected from the mains, petrol mowers require preliminary preparation. The first step is to remove the spark plug cap. Next, you should exclude fuel leaks, that is, either drain the tank, or put a sealed rubber membrane under the lid and turn off the fuel cock. Turn the mower only towards the side of the handle, unless otherwise explicitly stated in the operating instructions. Be sure to pinch the crankcase exhaust hose before turning the mower over to avoid spilling oil.

Lawn mowers use different blade configurations. In the simplest case, this is an ordinary two-bladed plate of a complex shape, however, the knife can also be composite. the upper blade is designed for mulching the cut grass. There are also four-bladed knives, which can be both composite and on a common base.

The knife can be attached either with one bolt in the center through a shaped washer, or with two bolts with a fit on a centering hole or pin. In any case, the thread on the bolts is right-hand, respectively, you need to unscrew it counterclockwise. To block the shaft from rotating, place a block under the knife, resting on the ground. It is advisable to remember or outline the position of the blade (s), so as not to confuse anything when reassembling. Temporarily tighten the unscrewed bolts into the free holes.

Balancing check

Before attaching the blade back, you need to make sure that its shoulders are at least about the same weight. Otherwise, vibration will occur during operation, which will not have a positive effect on the durability of the spindle.

Balancing is carried out mainly for double-sided single and compound knives, four-bladed ones are not so strongly subject to imbalance. To check the knife, you need to clamp a smooth bar in a vice in a horizontal position. The blade is put on it through the hole in the center, after which attempts are made to install it strictly horizontally. If one of the shoulders weighs significantly more than the other, the knife will steadily turn to one side.

The shoulder weight equation is carried out by grinding a small amount of metal from the back of one of the knife arms. It is not necessary to achieve ultra-precise balancing, however, the knife should be held in a strictly horizontal position for at least a few seconds. When balancing is done, you can put the knife back in place and finally refresh the look of your lawn.
