Its working capacity allows to produce through-holes in concrete up to 250 millimeters in diameter. This quality makes this drill an indispensable tool in the work of installation and construction teams involved in the installation of ventilation, plumbing and air conditioning equipment.
The machine works from 220 V plug. It is a 2400 watt low speed drill. Drilling speed. 185 or 425 rpm. The average thickness of the finished precast slab is 220 millimeters and the average thickness of the monolithic cast slab is 200 millimeters. Technical description
The Husqvarna DMS 240 is integrated with an aluminum frame that resembles a rectangular triangle. The body of the drill is connected to the vertical column of the frame with a sliding clamp.
A movable carriage with a two-stage gearbox is built into the clamp. It allows you to change the feed rate of the drill. Removable flywheel handle, which moves the drill vertically on the frame, can be installed on either the left or right side of the frame for operator comfort.
The drill can be tilted using the sliding diagonal section of the frame. This option allows the operator to drill at a pre-set angle.
The base for the installation is a solid aluminum plate. It is equipped with:
- Wheels for easy relocation of the drill rig
- A mounting hole to anchor the drill rig to the floor or wall of the room, by means of a spacer
- Four leveling bolts help set the rig at the proper height
In addition a rubber suction cup and a pneumatic bracket for vacuum attachment are included with the rig. These fixtures allow the drill rig to stick firmly to a smooth tiled floor or wall. The additional purchase of a compressor unit is required.
The rig is additionally required to be purchased for operation:
- Water supply kit for the drilling site. This is a plastic tank with a pressure pump. A pump is used to pump up the pressure in the tank. Then the tap is opened and water begins to flow into the drilling area by gravity, due to the pressure in the tank.
- Spacer column. It is designed to secure the tool. The upper end of the spacer rests on the rough ceiling. The lower part is fixed to the upper point of the drilling rig frame. The drillstring works like a jack, holding the drill rig firmly in one position during operation.
